	ALEMEDA COUNTY (UPI) - The heavily favored '73 A's were let down by the very pitching staff that carried them to victory during their early 70's dynasty.  Boston's pitching rose to the occasion + their hitting was off the charts. The Sox should be well rested for round 2.
	The Series MVP was "The Boomer" George Scott, who batted .500 (9-18) with 7 RBI's and 1 "tater". Boston took a commanding 3 games to none lead and never looked back.
