Series Stats: Brewers and Royals

Outstanding Game Performances: Al Cowens (Games 1/2), Hal McRae (Game 3), Gorman Thomas (Game 4), Ben Oglivie (Games 5-7 & Series MVP), Jerry Augustine (Game 7) KANSAS CITY (AP) - In a very unlikely turn of events, the Brewers came back from being down 3-0 to win the series in 7 games. Game 4, bottom of the 8th, Ben Oglivie's HR tied the game at 5, which was won in the 12th by a Sixto Lezcano HR. In Game 5, Oglivie again tied the score at 1-1 with a double in the 7th, then drove
home the winning run in the 9th with a single. Game 6 was more of the same. In the 9th, down 3-1, Oglivie's 2-run HR tied the game at 3, and two batters later Sal Bando homered for the eventual 4-3 win. Then Game 7 was a Roylas' meltdown as the Brewers won 8-0. Hisle and Oglive each hit 3-run HR. A tough final game for Paul, I'm sure. Reminded me somewhat of the 85' WS.  contributed by Jesse Elicker
