here) in the 8th and Rodney Scott came to the plate.  Lefty Jim Brewer served up a long fly that plated two runs and the Expos went on to knot the series at 2.  The light hitting Scott did the improbable and the Dodgers were now left for dead.  In game 5 Dodger ace Andy Messersmith got racked for 12 runs in 9 innings, but that does not tell the full story.  He was cruising along with a no-hitter that he took into the 5th inning when Andre Dawson stepped to the plate and walloped a HR to cut the score to 3-1.  In the next inning Montreal tied the game at 3.  The 7th inning saw the floodgates open as Montreal scored 8 runs and the Dodgers left Messersmith on the hill to rot.  Game 6 saw the Dodgers jump out to a 2-0 lead, but the Expos were hot and Dodger starter Tommy John was not.  Montreal chipped away at LA's lead and took a 6-3 lead into the 9th where reliever Elias Sosa locked it down as LA went silently into the night.
