The
Cardinals came into the game with high hopes based on their
world class offense. Unfortunately for them their sub par
defense let them down after sustaining some back breaking
injuries at key positions.
Cleveland led by the
brothers Pruitt (Greg & Mike) dominated the flow of the game. Greg
(pictured left) ran for 110 yard and 1 TD on just 15 carries. Brother Mike
had 2 TD runs and was the perfect complement to his All-Pro brother. Brian
Sipe was efficient and threw only when he had to. He threw for just under
200 yards and two big TD's.
The Cardinals relied
heavily on one Mr. Terry Metcalf, who caught 7 passes, rushed 8 times and had 8
KO/PR's. Jim Hart had a disappointing day and accumulated most of his
stats in garbage time late in the fourth while Cleveland sat back in prevent.
