2000 Ten Titans 22, 2004 NE Patriots
14:
The Patriots jumped out to a quick 14-3
lead in this one and had a 14-9 lead at half time. Bill Baker's
defensive schemes were too much for the 2004 SB Champs as the Titans
won by 8 and advanced to the Tournament finals. Tennessee was
clinging to a 1 point lead late in the 4th quarter when Samari Rolle
intercepted a Tom Brady pass and returned it for a TD, which all but
ensured victory for the Music City Boys. NE will advance to the
"looser" bracket finals and hope for a re-match. |

2004 Ind Colts 31, 2004 SD Chargers 24:
T
In a game that went to the wire the
Colts advanced with a 31-24 win .
The MVP was Edgerin James with 19
rushes for 162 and 5 catches for 47 yards .
Congrats to Dave (Stewart) for calling
a great game, but in the end Manning had too many weapons .

2002 Oak Raiders 59, 2003 GB Packers
57 (OT):
Oakland's offense seems to find a way to overcome its pourus defense
for the second game in a row, which turned out to be an OT thriller !
Oakland managed to win even though they never had the lead once
during regulation play. It was a see-saw battle that saw Green
Bay up by as many as 2 TD's a one point only to see Oakland storm
back. Down by a TD, the Raiders put together a 9 play 80 yard
drive to tie the game and force OT with :11 seconds left on the
clock. In OT Oakland won the coin flip, got the ball and drove
73 yards to kick the winning FG. The offensive #'s here are
astronomical. Picking an MVP purely on #'s would force me to
choose Charlie Garner who ran for 166 yard and 3 TD's and caught 15
passes for 171 yard and 3 more TD's ! |
